My folks Frank and Sharlet Sexton met the Bluegrass Patriots shortly after they formed their band. The Bluegrass Patriots have been wonderful friends to the entire Sexton family for many years. You all are the best and we appriciate all you have done for us. Thank you.

Very Sad to hear the news, I am certain they deserve this time, but what a loss to us. I am a late comer to Bluegass and when I heard the sweet harmony, plus the wonderful talent and music I was hooked. We saw the Patiots At Grassvalley Calif 2010. Check the web sight to catch them again. We were planning enjoying them, but like the song says "Time Changes Everything". I do want more of their CD's I have two. Regards Susie Brown Newcastle, Calif.

You were one of the first bluegrass groups I heard when I went to my first festival ever at Mid Winter Festival. I have enloyed your special style ever since. You always made me feel so good when you greeted me at many other festivals that we attended where you were performing. I will miss seeing and hearing you. I hope you will continue to have "reunion performances" especially at Mid Winter Festivals!!

We discovered your band in the mid-90's at one of the outdoor concerts in downtown Fort Collins. Our two teenagers, Jessica and Dylan have grown up listening to your music via cd's and going to see you "live" at Avos and outdoor venues. Your songs were their first introduction to bluegrass music! I believe their appreciation for bluegrass started with you guys, hopefully it will be a life-long interest. My mother passed away from cancer in 2007-she lived in California but was quite a fan of the "Patriots." Some of our best memories of her were our road trips around Colorado listening to and singing along with your CDs. Thanks for the memories and the music!

Sunday 10/23/11Hope Danny is ok Kenny. Have not heard but concerned. I really enjoyed the show. It was great. You sometimes acted as though you were going to half hop across the stage on bended knees like the rock stars used to do as they played their hottest licks. A great show. I do hope Dan is ok. sky49seaman@gmail.com

We were in the Fort '88-'92, and the Patriots "When You and I were Young, Maggie" was part of the sound tapestry of our life there. Best to you, gents, you blessed our lives with your music! 'You brought joy to our souls!'

Thanks to all who attended the Patriots’ final show at Avos on October 21st. We played to a packed room and saw lots of our faithful friends and fans who have supported us over the years. Many of you may have heard that Danny Rogers became shortly before the conclusion of our performance. Turns out that he became dehydrated causing his blood pressure to fall resulting a fainting reaction. He’s fine now and sends his appreciation for everyone’s concern and well wishes.

Thanks, Ken, for the good news about Dan. The show was wonderful! Although it is difficult to say good-by, it was nice to see the band upbeat, and sharp as ever. Your talent and passion has been a joy to watch/listen to over the years, and it's clear that you will all continue to be part of the Ft. Collins scene, and our lives, in the years to come. Thanks for everything!

So sad to see "The Patriots" go as they were mine and Ireland's Athy bluegrass festival favourite band. Thanks for the many great memories.

You guys....I still have many fond memories of the early days of picking with you all in Fort Collins during the late 70's and early 80's, well before you officially formed the Patriots. I'm so pleased and impressed to see that you kept it going for such a long time! Well done!!
